Toyin Adesola is a graduate of Economics from Lagos State University. A coach, a consultant, speaker, sickle cell warrior and advocate, she is presently the Executive Director/ Founder of Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative a non-profit focusing on issues dealing with sickle cell disorder.
She is an alumnus of Enterprise Development Centre, Pan Atlantic University, a Vital Voices Fellow, and a certified health coach of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She has also authored two book - Still Standing and The Misadventures of Oga and Madam AS.

Toyin has been on various television shows including Seriously speaking with Adesuwa Onyenukwe, Channels TV Book Club, Moments with Mo, as well as radio programmes and the print media, telling her story and talking on issues dealing with Sickle Cell Anaemia Disorder.
She is also the founder of RISE SUPPORT CONSULTS, with the aim of helping individuals become, healthy, resilient and purposeful so they can be a light to the world and transform their world with their own story. While she is busy inspiring others, she currently also hosts of The Touch a Cell Show with Toyin and the gang, a talk show on sickle cell disorder
Toyin, even though limited physically is a very energetic and determined woman who has won several awards including the UNESCO Runway Jazz, Humanitarian award. Her love and faith in God have strengthened her determination to what she has become. She has inspired many people through her story at many speaking engagements.
Having been invited to speak and share her knowledge at churches, seminars, schools and seminars on several topics from purpose, wellness, impact, productivity and non-profit management. Living with a physical disability and a chronic illness like Sickle Cell Anaemia Disorder for over five decades, Toyin understands the importance of physical and emotional health and the power of using your story to not only create change but help in achieving one's dreams and desire.

Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative is a registered non- governmental organisation established in 2008. It has a vision to build a society where Sickle Cell Disorder is reduced, and people with sickle cell, as well as their families are able live healthy, positive and productive lives.

SAMI aims to empower and improve the lives of people, especially with sickle cell disorder through a strategic partnership of education, empowerment, creating awareness, and providing support.

It provides support and knowledge through its various programmes.
