Abimbola Oligbinde is a Social Entrepreneur and Business Coach with over 10 years experience in Media, SME Development and Advocacy.

She is the Founder, Youthpreneur Business Development Network (YBDN), a Social Enterprise established to empower youth-owned businesses with skills development, mentoring and connection to funding opportunities.

While covering the business beat as a young Journalist, Abimbola became familiar with the challenges confronting enterprises in Nigeria and their struggle to survive. Hence, YBDN was borne out of her passion to empower small and medium businesses for growth.

The network, through its various programmes, has empowered about 1800 businesses since it was founded in 2015.

Abimbola has coached and mentored many small/medium business owners to success.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language from the University of Ado Ekiti (2006) and a Masters Degree in English Language (Semiotics) from the University of Lagos (2012). She holds a Certificate in Business Coaching (2017) and she has attended much training on SME Development and Sustainability.

She is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

In 2016, she was selected as a recipient of the prestigious Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme. She is also a fellow of the Obama Young African Leaders Initiative (West Africa).

In 2017, she was selected as a Mentor for the Queens Young Leader Programme where she mentored many young change makers from various Commonwealth countries.

She recently launched a fashion brand called Yellow Pollen, for children offering made in Nigeria ready-to-wear clothes at affordable rates.

Abimbola is married with two children.
