Jumoke is a visual artist, cultural producer and the founder and creative director of the Revolving Art Incubator Lagos (RAI).
RAI is an incubator space for artists established in 2016 as a platform for multi-creative engagement and contemporary art discourse with a focus on emerging and mid-career artists; RAI through its collaborative projects, presentations, and exhibitions, serves as a catalyst for artistic and social development in Nigeria.
In July 2017 Jumoke was one of the 9 selected artists for the New Dimension VR workshop organized by Electric South, South Africa for a residential VR lab to learn 360 filmmaking, Unity production, and immersive computing, and to develop their VR project idea. Since then she has used her platform in conjunction with Imisi3D to introduce VR+ AR to visual artists. Her first VR Film "Lagos At Large" is currently in production co-produced by Imisi3D and Electric South.
Jumoke has been part of the global cultural discourse in the last 7years through her participation at several fora locally and internationally.
In April 2017, she was invited as a participant at a high-level international summit that brought together leaders from the world of government, the arts and the media to address the role culture plays in addressing some of the challenges of our time. The Culture Summit held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
In May 2018, under the Creative Europe Project of the European Union, Jumoke gave a keynote address on Dis-othering at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the rotor Contemporary in Graz Austria where she introduced the role of alternative spaces in shaping the visual and cultural language in Lagos.
IAM (Intense Art Magazine) listed Jumoke as one of three Nigeria’s New Art Scene Architect in 2017.
