Social Media Week Lagos 2019

There are more and more fashion weeks across the continent and with the recent formation of the Africa Fashion Federation, this panel discussion will explore the growth of Lagos Fashion Week and the emergence of other fashion weeks across the continent.

We'll ask how Fashion Week has impacted the fashion industry in Africa, what opportunities and value they bring and explore the criticisms of those who say the phenomenon is elitist and cliquey. We'll unpack how social media helps to raise the profile of contemporary African style and enables host countries to connect with one another.
