When we hear "heroes", we might consider Superman, Batman, or some other character with superpowers. Others might consider police officers or soldiers who risk their life for our nation. But what about the everyday heroes among us?

Activism- consists of efforts to promote, impede, direct, or intervene in social, political, economic, or environmental reform with the desire to make changes in society.

Advocacy- Advocacy is an activity by an individual or group which aims to influence decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions


Not All Heroes Wear Capes in Nigeria- Activism vs Advocacy is a panel discussion with some extraordinary everyday activists and advocates who've launched change making campaigns and movements using social media.

Panelist will discuss:

  • What makes an effective Advocate/ Activist
  • Why and how to mobilize around a cause you care about
  • Skills and principles of Activism and Advocacy without destruction
