#SMWTechaholics a tech talk speakeasy event to get young, creative and savvy techpreneurs mentored by gurus in the evolving digital space. Techaholics event, hosted by @OnlineHubNG, follow a fireside chat format where industry influencers and thought leaders are asked questions revolving around the tech community in Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the World.

At the Social Media Week Lagos 2019 edition; the conversation will revolve around Social Media and Jobs: Rethinking the Future of Work for Young People as it relates to Nigeria's Technology Ecosystem to facilitate Innovation, Collaboration and Explore potential new frontiers of digital inclusion for young people.

When we talk about the impact of the Internet and Social Media on future jobs, it is important to bring youth to the center of the discussion, young people will live the future of work and can contribute to shaping it. What do young people think about the impact of the Social Media on employment? How do they see themselves in this scenario? What tools are necessary to take full advantage of the opportunities that the Social Media offers them? These will be some of the questions to be addressed at the speakeasy session.

Social Media platforms are replete with people who make it their life work to do the exceptional. They thrive online and take bold steps to do what needs to be done while leveraging the new media space. People will create the jobs of the future, not simply train for them, and social media is already central. It will undoubtedly play a greater role in the years ahead.

As it becomes crystal clear that quality engagement on social media is essential for rethinking the future of work, the question to ponder at #SMWTechaholics for Social Media Week Lagos 2019 edition, once again, is how to move forward.
